G'day mate, how are you going? Today, what I am going to be talking about is that a decluttered mind can lead to a decluttered space to boost your productivity. What does it mean? Well, let's find out, shall we?
First and foremost, if you are very messy person and never tuck away anything at all, then you won't probably establish any decluttered space. No I'm just joking. You can make it happen. How? It's very straightforward. Are your desk setup ok? I mean, there shouldn't be too much rubbish on your workstation. Even a tiny fraction of food leftover or an empty coffee cup on the desk is problematic for increasing your productivity. Yes, of course, you want to eat and drink while working. However, after having this, you'd better clear away the dishes thoroughly. Although it sounds a piece of cake, not many people habitually do that, right? This tiny thing needs to be taken into consideration.
Next up, unread books or not-immediately-necessary stuff on the desk have to be tucked away. Yes, I know what you want to say next. Like, "I will read them, and although all the stuff on the desk are miscellaneous, I will probably need them sometime soon." But, the most likely outcome is that simply you won't read them and all the unnecessary stuff unpleasantly impede your concentration, and occupy one-third of your precious workstation's space. So, the less stuff on your desk the better for boosting your productivity. To this end, you always have to be aware of your desk setup environment, ensuring that the stuff on the desk should always be minimised. No only does this minimalistic desk setup look really aesthetic, but it also helps enhance your productivity enormously.
Last but not least, cable management is also crucial when it comes to boosting your productivity. The more cables messing around or underneath your desk, the more stress it will definitely induce. And there will be more chance of getting an unforeseen injury as well. Who knows, who could anticipate what's going to happen? Messy desk setup looks not just shabby, but has a high risk of getting injuries as well. Underneath your desk has got lots of potential risks, you know. You don't need to write a sort of risk assessment, but ideally yes you should if you can, because the vast majority of successful business person or entrepreneurs tend to delve deeper into "risks" that have an adverse effect on their business operations. So, they should be really meticulous about the design for their desk setup, which tend to be intricate in the end.
In conclusion, although what I have been saying today is a bit of abstract or philosophical at times, the simple summation would be like this: the simpler and cleaner the workstation, the less risky and more productive your daily business operations will be.
Thanks for reading my blog. Chao!
