G'day how are you going mate? Today, I am going to talk about how to be able to converse on a wide range of subjects. Simply, you've got to read, read and read English articles. But I'd say more than that. Without further ado, let's get cracking.
First and foremost, yes you've got to make sure that you read, read and read English articles every day, which seems to be just normal even for native speakers. The more you attempt to read various articles, the more information you're going to gather. Although everyone wants to read the ones that intrigue you, ultimately it doesn't matter as to what sorts of articles you read. You don't really need to think about this is interesting, that is not. To expand your basic knowledge for striking up a conversation, it's absolutely better to read a wide range of subjects, which can obviously bolster your confidence about speaking.
Next up, listening is the key, hey? For myself, I've been listening to English more than reading books, magazines or newspapers. Why? Because, not only are you able to gather information for carrying on a conversation, but the precision of your pronunciation can be tested. If you can understand what a speaker is saying crystal clear, then there's no doubt that you can pronounce English sentences pretty accurately. Of course, there should be some exceptions for someone, but normally your listening comprehension would be proportional to how accurate you can pronounce words. All in all, listening is one of the easiest, fastest, and the most hassle-free ways to boost not just your wider knowledge, but the exactness of your English pronunciation.
Ok, so let me wrap this up. You want to be capable of speaking a wide variety of conversation subjects, but you're not really confident, right? Two things you should keep in mind: 1. Read, read and read any English article for not just your interest, but anything relating to current affairs as well; 2. Listen to English like daily news, documentary, YouTube videos, etc. This can be truly awesome for the expansion of your knowledge, but also the rectification of your pronunciation.
