Let's kickstart learning English from scratch in English

G'day, what are you up to, mate? Let's kickstart learning English from scratch in English, not in Japanese. Why? Simply put, because, you're not learning and mastering English pronunciation first prior to learning grammar and vocabulary. Let's talk about this in greater detail.

So, many of you guys think it is not possible to learn English in English without relying on Japanese translations. Hell not. Yes, I do admit that sometimes you need to consult a Japanese-English dictionary or English-Japanese dictionary when you encounter unknown words. Nonetheless, mostly you don't need them in order to learn the basics of the English language. Although the way native speakers are learning English differs from the way non-native speakers like us does, learning English from sounds must be done in the beginning. Otherwise, you always need Japanese translations to check the meaning or everything, which takes a heavy toll on your learning journey. To avoid this cumbersome effectively, you've got to master pronunciation first. You don't need to understand grammar, nor do you need to memorise vocabulary. You just need to practise each phonemic symbol everyday until you can confidently pronounce all the symbols.

To this end, why do we need translations? You don't need them, do you? Languages quintessentially drive from sounds, not from spelling first. So, both Can-do-speak and Can-do-listen are far more important than any other skills. Like, think about us. No one cannot speak Japanese, but there are many who are incapable of reading books and writing impeccable Japanese sentences without any grammatical error. Something like that. The same premise can be applied to English as well. If you can speak English confidently, then you should be able to read and write English as well. But the opposite cannot be the same, so I just wanna emphasise the importance of mastering pronunciation very very early on.

If you can pronounce every sound impeccably, then there won't be any issue at all. To recap, despite non-native speakers having the least possibility of learning English like native-speakers, learning from sounds is absolutely relevant to those who wish to kickstart learning English from scratch. I do believe it's possible to reach a semi-native level when it comes to spoken and auditory capability. That's the way it is. Let's practise pronunciation from now!
