Belated Happy New Year mate! Do I need a resolution for learning English? Not at all. Instead of having any resolution, you've got to make sure that you just enjoy the process of learning English enormously. That's it. Other than that, I don't think you need any resolution. Why? Let me explicate it a bit further.

Learning English fundamentally differs from other things. It's not so easy to keep yourself motivated throughout as it depends who you are. What do I mean by this? Well, different people have different purpose for learning English. But, the sole consistent purpose for all of you guys is to master the basics of the English language to be able to get the most out of the skill you've acquired. Otherwise, it's nonsensical for people to learn a different language, I reckon. Nonetheless, you do not need a resolution for learning English, precisely because everyone has got to master the basics of the English language comprising pronunciation, grammar as well as etymology. Without learning these three pillars, there will be no way of boosting speaking, writing, reading and listening skills. Every one of you guys has to go through them no matter what. Therefore, the mastery of basic English skills cannot be your sole resolution.

After the mastery of the English basics, I reckon you want to have some resolutions ahead, which is totally normal. The way in which people would like to develop further English skills tends to differ considerably, right? In this respect, you shall set up your own resolution for English. How can we recognise whether or not you've mastered the English basics? Simply speaking, the situation where this is genuinely true is you can effortlessly read any English-written newspaper, you can easily comprehend any sort of English-spoken news on telly, and you can write a wide range of grammatically correct English sentences without a heavy reliance of English dictionary. If you think they are applicable to your case, then you've entirely mastered. Off you go mate. If not, by contrast, then you should not jump the gun without the English basics. Rome was not built in a day, wasn't it?
